So picture this, right? We're at this little dive bar off the 60 in Beaumont after a scorcher of a day, me telling the bartender what shots to pour, picking the music, even got the pool table cleared my way. Felt like queen of the damn place. Then this guy slides up, racks the balls himself, hands me a cue and goes, 'your turn to follow my break.' Knees went weak.
